Job summary

Ferguson is seeking an On-Site Vendor Managed Inventory Specialist to manage inventory operations within a customer's facility and ensure accurate stock levels with timely replenishment. You will work in the customer’s supply room, performing daily checks, processing replenishment orders, and collaborating with onsite contractors to meet demand.

The role emphasizes strong organizational skills, proactive issue resolution, and the ability to work independently on site, with hours Monday to Friday

Qualifications

• Experience in inventory management, supply chain or warehouse operations preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Provide responsive, courteous, solution-oriented support onsite.
• Clear communication in person and in writing for accurate order processing.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Precise counting, tracking and documenting inventory for reliable stock.
• Identify shortages or urgent needs and take proactive action.
• Comfortable using inventory systems and basic computer apps

Responsibilities

• Work onsite in the customer's inventory supply room to oversee VMI systems.
• Perform daily stock checks to verify accuracy and availability.
• Write and process replenishment orders for timely restocking.
• Stock and organize inventory for efficient access and workflow.
• Collaborate with onsite contractors to provide quotes and fulfill orders.
• Deliver prompt, professional customer service and accurate order processing.
• Perform driver duties as needed, including transporting materials.
