Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Electrical Engineer with UAS integration experience to join a cutting-edge startup in Cedar Creek, Texas. You will own electrical interfaces between payloads and UAS platforms, define interfaces, and design harnesses while addressing EMI and grounding.

You will work with flight controllers and autopilots, plan bench, ground, and flight tests, and translate test results into design changes. This role is onsite in Cedar Creek, TX with full-time direct-hire employment.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, or Aerospace Engineering; military experience not a substitute.
• At least 1 year hands-on UAS electronics integration experience.
• Experience with UAS power systems, flight controllers, PWM/UART/CAN interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Own electrical integration between payloads and UAS host platforms.
• Define interfaces in interface control documents per CLIK standard.
• Design and verify harnesses, connectors, and interface boards; address EMI and grounding.
• Integrate with flight controllers and autopilots, including PWM, serial, and CAN.
• Plan and run bench, ground, and flight tests; translate data into design changes.
• Collaborate with platform partners and customers; maintain test reports and integration records.
