Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in White Plains, NY is seeking a Transcription & Data Entry Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the transcription department on-site, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Lead, coach and manage staff to ensure accurate processing and timely deliverables.

The role requires 3–6 years as a Medical Transcriptionist, strong medical terminology knowledge, and supervision capabilities.

Qualifications

• Three to six years experience as a Medical Transcriptionist.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and Anatomic Pathology billing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Laboratory Information Systems.
• Ability to supervise staff and manage department operations.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the transcription department, assign work, set priorities, ensure coverage.
• Supervise, coach, train, and manage performance of staff.
• Develop policies and procedures for the Transcription department.
• Ensure accurate billing of Anatomic Pathology tests.
• Collect statistics for compensation programs and monthly reports.
• Identify and resolve employee/client issues.
• Perform QC of transcription staff and fill in duties as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
