Data Device Corporation in Bohemia, NY is seeking a Test Engineer to design, develop, and troubleshoot production test equipment for hybrid microelectronic components and avionics hardware. The role combines hands-on electronics, test software development, and system-level problem solving to sustain manufacturing operations and deliver new testing capabilities.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology (electronics focus) or related engineering discipline.
• Experience with electronic manufacturing and testing of circuit card assemblies and hybrid electronics.
• Ability to develop or troubleshoot test software in Visual Basic, C#, or C++.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production test equipment; diagnose root causes and minimize downtime.
• Develop, modify, and optimize automated test software using VB/C++/C# and update schematics in OrCAD.
• Troubleshoot CAN, I2C, GPIB, RS485, RS232, and MIL-STD-1553 interfaces for reliable unit communication.
• Develop and troubleshoot JTAG/boundary-scan tests to improve fault isolation and coverage.
• Create and maintain test procedures, validation records, and maintenance documentation.
• Plan and own work from requirements through verification and closeout; manage risks and timelines.
• Collaborate with Test, Product, Manufacturing Eng., Quality, Operations, and suppliers to resolve issues.
