Job summary

Capital Medical Group, a large multi-specialty physician practice within Independence Physician Management (IPM), a subsidiary of UHS, seeks a Temporary Human Resources Generalist to support CMG HR operations in the Washington, DC area for up to 10 weeks.

You will handle employee relations, performance management, leave administration, onboarding, reporting, and HRIS tasks, with focus on confidentiality and service excellence as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required.
• 3–5 years of HR Generalist experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR support to CMG HR Operations and CMG service line leaders.
• Support performance management, employee engagement, new employee orientation, reporting, and HR systems administration.
• Administer leave of absence processes, including FMLA, ADA, return-to-work, and other leave-related matters.
• Offer guidance on policy interpretation, investigations, and dispute resolution procedures.
• Complete Personnel Action Forms and Lawson record updates to support smooth employee lifecycle transactions.
• Assist with process improvement, standardization, and HR project implementation in alignment with operational goals.
• Respond to employee questions and provide timely, professional HR support.
• Perform data entry, data analysis, and other administrative tasks as assigned.
