Job summary

Bowhead Family of Companies is seeking a Telecommunications Field Technician to support Base Telecom O&M at Puget Sound, WA. The role requires in-office and in-field work, with on-the-job and verification training after 30 days.

This is an onsite position with duties including installation, testing, and maintenance of telecom infrastructure. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of hands-on OSP cabling experience, knowledge of industry standards, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical trade certification in telecom, electronics, or fiber optics highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair outside telecommunications infrastructure.
• Perform fiber and copper splicing (fusion and mechanical).
• OTDR and power meter testing; fault isolation and restoration.
• Document cabling routes, splicing records, and test results.
• Collaborate with engineers, ISP technicians, and site leadership for upgrades.
