Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Telecommunications Design Engineer for complex infrastructure projects. This on-site role is in Rock Hill, SC.

You will create detailed AutoCAD/REVIT drawings, plan telecom pathways, and coordinate with multiple teams, applying NFPA and TIA standards.

Requirements: bachelor’s degree with 2+ years in telecom cabling, CAD/BIM skills, ability to travel up to 10%. Salary $100k–$115k, full benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 2+ years in telecom cabling.
• Experience with inside and outside plant pathways and cabling systems.
• Familiarity with CAD and BIM platforms, and NFPA/TIA standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and track project requirements through the design lifecycle.
• Create detailed CAD/BIM drawings for cabling and space layouts.
• Coordinate pathway designs, BOMs, and test procedures with stakeholders.
• Prepare construction drawings and specifications aligned with project criteria.
• Apply quality controls to ensure constructible, compliant outcomes.
• Conduct site surveys and develop field reports with solutions.
• Identify RFI responses and manage cable labeling/documentation.
• Assist with PITCO activities and BIM coordination.
