Job summary

OnLogic is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead development of rugged industrial computers, edge systems, and servers. You will drive cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining high-quality hardware, electrical, mechanical, and firmware design standards.

The role requires onsite presence at either Cary, NC or South Burlington, VT, with relocation or commuting encouraged.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience delivering large, complex projects on time and on budget.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science; a Master’s degree is a strong plus.
• Demonstrable expertise in computer hardware, electrical design, mechanical engineering, and system integration.
• Proven track record managing vendor relationships.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, risk mitigation, and time management skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and conflicting priorities.
• Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet).
• PMP or comparable certification is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Program Leadership: Drive development projects from concept through prototype, validation, and production using a gate-staged process.
• Strategic Planning & Execution: Manage comprehensive project plans including schedules, budgets, sourcing, and prototype strategies.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with stakeholders and cross-functional teams from senior leadership to engineers.
• Risk Management: Own project and portfolio risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• On-Time Delivery & Budget Control: Ensure timely execution across internal departments and external partners within budget.
• Transparent Communication: Provide clear progress updates to internal and external stakeholders.
• Strategic Technical Decision-Making: Evaluate requirements against complexity, cost, and time-to-market; guide phase-gate exits.
• Interdisciplinary Leadership: Optimize workflows and maintain project velocity across dependencies.
• Continuous Improvement: Implement process efficiencies and cross-functional standards.
