Job summary

Russell Tobin is seeking a Technical Program Manager to bring structure and visibility to a fast-moving manufacturing engineering environment. This role is hands-on, requiring presence on the floor and in engineering rooms to unblock blockers and drive continuous improvement.

You will migrate tracking from spreadsheets to Jira, develop dashboards, and formalize operational systems while partnering with Manufacturing leadership to align short and long-term commitments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, tech comm, business or related field.
• 3+ years in technical PM or program coordination in hardware/manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Jira configuration, workflows, dashboards and JQL.
• Experience migrating unstructured/spreadsheet tracking into structured PM tools.
• Strong technical writing for SOPs, process docs and program status reports.

Responsibilities

• Migrate Excel tracking to Jira with project structures, workflows, and dashboards.
• Integrate program data across Jira, Quickbase, Excel and dashboards for single source of truth.
• Create real-time dashboards for status, readiness, risk, and milestones for managers and leadership.
• Draft and maintain technical docs (SOPs, build procedures, logs) under leadership direction.
• Work on the floor with engineers to identify blockers and resolve them in person.
• Facilitate reviews, capture decisions and action items, drive follow-through.
• Track cross-functional actions, raising issues and risks with visibility across teams.
• Identify opportunities to automate recurring reporting and data aggregation.
