Job summary

WireCrafters LLC is seeking a Technical Inside Sales Estimator to prepare accurate quotations and layouts for OEM/integrator customers and our national dealer network, working with the automation regional sales team.

The role focuses on estimating, project management, and customer service, interpreting drawings and specifications to ensure correct quantities, product selection, and pricing, with Engineering support for custom questions.

Qualifications

• Estimating or inside sales experience with focus on customer service and quote accuracy.
• Strong technical and mechanical aptitude; visualize parts and assemblies to understand fit.
• Ability to interpret drawings, dimensions, tolerances, material specs, and technical notes for quoting.
• Understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes and how material/product requirements affect estimates; metal fabrication experience is a plus.
• Detail-oriented in RFQ review, assuming documentation, and quote/project records.
• Strong math, communication, and organizational skills.
• Able to manage multiple quotes and meet deadlines.
• Familiar with Gmail, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word; able to learn ERP/quoting systems.
• High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review quote requests and customer layouts to define scope, dimensions, quantities, and pricing; identify missing information.
• Prepare quotes and revisions for accuracy and timely delivery.
• Answer product questions, revise quotes, and support customers through the regional sales team.
• Coordinate with Engineering on custom requirements and questions affecting quotations.
• Process quotes and orders in the ERP system and maintain clear records of requirements and changes.
