Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Technical Designer for an onsite Manhattan, NY contract position. This 3+ month engagement focuses on executing the technical design process from development to final fit.

The role requires hands-on fittings, strong knit and woven pattern skills, and the ability to manage fit specs with vendors. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in technical design, a Bachelor’s in Fashion, and PLM experience (Centric).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years' experience in technical design.
• Strong pattern making background with knits and wovens; PLM experience.
• Indicates an independent contributor role; not seeking large team management.

Responsibilities

• Own a space and conduct fittings independently for the current project.
• Execute the technical design process from development to final fit as an individual contributor.
• Analyze and evaluate garments to develop correct fit specifications.
• Ensure products are developed in line with fit quality, standards, capabilities and cost specs.
• Develop technical specifications and communicate fit to vendors/factories for approvals.
• Make adjustments with factories to maintain design integrity and prototype quality.
