Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Specialist, Tech Support Engineer in Herndon, VA to resolve Tier II issues, coordinate with Tier III, and generate monthly performance reports. This onsite, 12+ month engagement may transition to permanent employment.

The role requires a technical background in RF/antenna systems, Unix/Linux familiarity, and strong problem solving, time management, and communication skills to support a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher with 4+ years of relevant experience; or 8+ years if no degree.
• RF and antenna systems background desired.
• Experience with Unix or Linux operating systems.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and resolves trouble tickets escalated to Tier II from the NOC.
• Escalates to Tier III as necessary.
• Reviews and evaluates maintenance requests and provides approvals when needed.
• Tracks progress of all O&M field maintenance operations and reports weekly to the O&M Director.
• Creates monthly system performance reports for program meetings.
• Supports system troubleshooting activities.
• Works with team to develop creative and innovative solutions to issues.
• Documents test results and provides progress reports for assessment.
• Supports Trouble Ticket System customization projects.
• Supports a 24/7/365 facility; may require after-hours, weekends, and holidays.
