Job summary

Tait Communications is seeking a Field Support Engineer to deliver mission-critical communications, offering remote and on-site support across North America. You will lead technical delivery, troubleshoot RF and networked systems, and coach team members while collaborating with sales and engineering to shape practical solutions.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in wireless tech, strong RF knowledge, and experience with Linux/Windows, TCP/IP, and networking. Willingness to travel is required.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of technical experience in wireless communications repair, maintenance, field service, or similar.
• Strong practical knowledge of land mobile radio systems; trunking and simulcast experience preferred.
• Experience diagnosing complex issues across hardware, software, operating systems, and networks.
• Working knowledge of Linux and Windows OS, TCP/IP, network standards and hardware.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical interface for customers after delivery of Tait products and systems.
• Provide remote and on-site technical support, owning issues from diagnosis to resolution.
• Participate in requirements-capture and validation meetings with practical field expertise.
• Develop test protocols for factory, site-acceptance, and regression testing.
