Job summary

Intuit is seeking TurboTax Retail Experts to advise clients in a local TurboTax Retail or Flagship location, performing hands-on tax preparation and tax planning for individuals and small businesses. You will engage with customers in person, use TurboTax software and local marketing tools, and help grow the client base while delivering a top-tier customer experience.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted EA, CPA, or attorney license with tax preparation experience.
• Active PTIN required to file taxes.
• Must possess or obtain any related State licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
• Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 30+ federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season using professional tax preparation software.
• Familiarity with Circular 230.
• Willing to work onsite at a TurboTax retail or flagship location, Sunday through Saturday, for a minimum of 20 hours per week. Hours may scale up during peak demand.
• Interest in building a local and online social presence as a TurboTax Expert, creating accessible tax-related content and resources for your community.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus.
• Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond tax filing.
• Willing to wear a TurboTax uniform; front facing retail environment

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on tax advice and complete preparation services for TurboTax customers, handling simple to complex tax situations.
• Facilitate discovery sessions and tax reviews to uncover deductions, minimize tax liabilities, maximize refunds, and provide future tax planning advice.
• Utilize resources such as government websites, professional tools, and team expertise to deliver accurate tax solutions in personalized everyday language.
• Create an exceptional customer experience through professionalism and genuine interest in helping clients achieve financial goals.
• Connect with people to build long-term trust that turns a one-time transaction into a loyal, multi-year relationship.
• Interact with customers in-person and through Intuit’s video communication tools.
• Address client inquiries while helping them overcome tax-related challenges.
