LHH is seeking a Staff Accountant for an on-site role in Tampa, FL. This contract-to-hire position involves managing the general ledger, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting to support the finance team.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Accounting and at least 2 years of accounting experience, with strong Excel/Word skills and attention to detail. Pay ranges from $33.49 to $38.39 per hour, with comprehensive benefit options available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience.
• Experience with General Ledger, Reconciliations, Bank Reconciliations, Payroll Accounting, Fixed Assets, Prepaid Expenses, Accrual Entries.
• Experience supporting month-end close preferred.

Responsabilités

• Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and financial analysis.
• Complete bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities.
• Prepare accruals, prepaid expense schedules, and related journal entries.
• Maintain payroll accounting records and prepare payroll-related entries.
• Track and maintain fixed asset accounting records.
• Assist with annual audits, including schedules, documentation, and auditor requests.
• Coordinate audit-related deadlines and follow-up items.
• Prepare productivity reports and variance analyses.
• Ensure financial records are accurate and compliant with accounting standards.
• Support day-to-day accounting operations and special projects as needed.
