Job summary

Optum in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Systems Support Engineer to setup, support, and manage automation PCs, servers and PLCs on an onsite basis. The role includes occasional travel to Mesa, AZ training and coordination with pharmacy fulfillment teams.

This full-time position offers 2 weeks of training, 6:00 am–11:00 pm shift coverage, and a comprehensive benefits package including 401k options and potential equity.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in technology support, system management, or another technology administration role.
• Intermediate level of experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time (Domestic)
• Ability to work full-time 40 hours/week with 8-hour shifts during 6:00 am - 11:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with possible overtime or weekends
• Onsite training and potential travel to Mesa, AZ for training

Responsibilities

• Setup, ongoing support, and management of automation PCs, servers, and PLCs in the automated fulfillment pharmacy
• Interfacing with pharmacy workers and stakeholders to understand issues and update on statuses
• Coordinate with internal and external teams for software upgrades, patches, and new equipment
• Work with partner teams to coordinate installs and extended support
• Assist with debugging PLCs, networking, power systems, and I/O devices on the automation line
• Use data analytics to troubleshoot and improve performance and reliability
• Other duties as needed
