Job summary

CSS Staffing seeks a Systems Engineer to manage and optimize a state-of-the-art IT environment in Omaha and Lincoln, NE on an onsite Direct Hire basis. You will handle Microsoft 365, Windows Server, VMware virtualization, and robust network infrastructures, including VPNs and disaster recovery.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a System Administrator or comparable role.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server, VMware, and networks.
• Ability to communicate with clients and internal teams effectively.
• Willingness to mentor junior engineers and participate in technical sales.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT support for internal systems and network infrastructures.
• Support Microsoft technologies: 365, Windows Server, Exchange, etc.
• Support virtualization tech with VMware.
• Handle network duties: WAN/LAN, routers, firewalls.
• Assist with disaster recovery solutions.
• Support remote access: VPN, Terminal Services, etc.
• Document maintenance for systems and networks.
• Communicate with customers and internal teams.
• Maintain incident progress and outages communications.
• Maintain service awareness of IT services and tools.
• Monitor client networks and escalate issues.
• Document internal processes and procedures.
• Assist with technical sales processes.
• Log time/expenses in ConnectWise.
