Job summary

ABB’s Mebane, NC facility is seeking an ELSP Supplier Quality & Development Engineer to lead supplier qualification, drive CAPAs, and manage supplier KPIs. The role covers on-site and off-site activities, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and continual supplier development to improve quality and deliveries.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in an engineering discipline with at least 2 years in supplier quality processes.
Proficiency with measurement tools (meters, calipers, gauges, etc.).
Understanding of quality procedures and lean manufacturing concepts.
Demonstrated HSE participation and ability to rotate across production areas.

Responsibilities

Lead supplier assessments and qualification processes including PPAP.
Drive corrective and preventive actions based on supplier performance and KPIs.
Coordinate on-site and off-site supplier quality activities; manage supplier scorecards.
Work with buyers to engage suppliers and prepare claims when needed.
Ensure thorough execution of supplier development processes to drive continuous improvement.
