Job summary

ABB in the United States is seeking a quality-focused professional to deploy the quality strategy for a local organizational unit in Mebane, NC. The role emphasizes prevention, continuous improvement, robust root cause analysis, and swift corrective actions to meet customer expectations while ensuring sustainable operations.

You will collaborate with local functions, rotate across production areas as needed, and apply lean concepts including 5S and PPAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred) plus minimum 2 years relevant work experience in quality management, customer experience success, project execution, and supply chain, OR Associate degree in Engineering or related field plus minimum 4 years relevant work experience OR High School Diploma/GED plus 6 years of relevant work experience.
• Lean Six Sigma green belt certification, preferred.
• Proficiency in measurement tools (meters, calipers, gauges, etc.)
• Demonstrated understanding of quality procedures and concepts; lean manufacturing awareness including 5S, 8D, PPAP.

Responsibilities

• Support deployment of the quality strategy for a local unit.
• Assist in achieving prevention, continuous improvement, and robust root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with local functions to reach world-class quality targets.
• Facilitate resolution of customer cases by following robust root cause analysis and preventive actions.
