Job summary

Amtec Staffing is seeking a contract structural analyst for a one-year assignment in Pasadena, CA. The role focuses on performing structural analysis and design verification across project phases.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor's in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering and have hands-on FEA experience with MSC/NASTRAN or NX/NASTRAN, plus FEMAP, to size hardware and assess margins.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering.
• Wide-ranging experience in structural analyses techniques, including classical hand analyses and FEA.
• Working knowledge of FEA codes (MSC/NASTRAN or NX/NASTRAN) and pre & post processing tools (FEMAP).
• Knowledge of metallic and composite structures, bonded and bolted joint analyses.
• Knowledge of structural failure mechanisms, including fatigue and instability.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis (FEA and Classical Hand) for different project phases (configuration studies, preliminary design, detailed design, verification and validation).
• Analyze and size structural hardware per prescribed loading environment and material properties, and generate structural margins.
• Provide configuration and design recommendations to optimize the load path and achieve a more efficient design.

Job description

Contract position for 1 year with possibility of extension/long term

Pay: $51.00 -$107.00 hourly, depending on experience

No Corp-to-Corp or Staffing Partnership

Responsibilities:

• Perform structural analysis (FEA and Classical Hand) for different phases of the project, such as configuration studies, preliminary design, detailed design, and verification and validation (static and dynamic testing)
• .Responsible for analyzing and sizing the structural hardware per prescribed loading environment and material properties, and generating the structural (strength and stability) margins
