Addison Group is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant for a growing organization in the Twin Cities. This role partners with the Controller to manage core general ledger and month-end close, ensuring accurate financial reporting and efficient close processes.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of Staff Accountant experience with strong Sage Intacct and Excel skills, and a proven ability to work independently. This on-site position in Oakdale, MN offers medical, dental, vision, and 401K benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Staff Accountant, General Ledger Accountant, or similar experience.
• Combination of strong Sage Intacct and strong Excel skills highly preferred.
• Strong general ledger and month-end close experience.
• Hands-on experience with journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Ability to independently research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Organized, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
• Ability to work closely with accounting leadership while independently owning responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Partner closely with the Controller on day-to-day accounting activities and priorities.
• Assist with and take ownership of key components of the month-end close process.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and general ledger adjustments.
• Complete balance sheet and general ledger account reconciliations.
• Perform bank and cash reconciliations and research discrepancies.
• Review account activity and investigate variances or unusual transactions.
• Maintain supporting schedules and month-end documentation.
• Assist with financial reporting and month-end reporting packages.
• Support AP, AR, and transactional accounting functions as needed.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and outstanding items.
• Assist with audit requests and supporting documentation.
• Support process improvements and other ad hoc accounting projects.
