Job summary

Addison Group in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Staff Accountant for a temp-to-perm role onsite. You will manage full-cycle accounts receivable, perform reconciliations, prepare schedules, and support month-end close while ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• 2+ years of Staff Accountant or related accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
• Experience with Sage Intacct is a plus.
• Experience with accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately at a fast pace.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounts receivable activities.
• Complete monthly account reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly schedules and sales reports.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Support journal entries, account analysis, and other general accounting activities.
• Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP.
• Assist with reporting and other finance-related projects as needed.
• Work closely with accounting leadership to research and resolve discrepancies.
• Communicate professionally with internal employees, customers, and vendors.
• Identify accounting issues or process improvement opportunities and take initiative to address them.
• Provide additional support across the accounting and finance department as needed.
