Job summary

Addison Group is seeking a GL Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and the month-end close. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys working across the general ledger, investigating discrepancies, and improving accounting processes.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of full-cycle accounting, a Bachelor’s in accounting or related field, and strong Excel / ERP experience to ensure accurate financial reporting and timely close.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of general ledger or full-cycle accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong journal entry, reconciliation, and month-end close experience.
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with an accounting or ERP system.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support month-end and year-end close
• Investigate account discrepancies and make necessary corrections
• Assist with financial reporting, audits, and process improvements
