Job summary

Calance is seeking an experienced SQL Server DBA for an onsite 1-year contract to administer and optimize Microsoft SQL databases. You will design, implement, and maintain database components, and develop reporting infrastructure to serve multiple business units.

Responsibilities include performance tuning, patching, upgrades, and coordinating with application teams to meet reporting needs. You will also manage data imports/exports, backups, testing, and ensure security and compliance.

Qualifications

• Administer and manage Microsoft SQL databases across environments.
• Develop and maintain reporting infrastructure for ad hoc and standard reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform database performance tuning, troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• Install, patch, and upgrade SQL Server databases and develop SQL program instructions.
• Collaborate with business users and application teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver solutions.
• Import/export and back-up data between systems as needed.
• Review backups, maintenance, and monitoring to ensure SLA compliance.
• Respond to database monitoring alerts and escalations.
• Maintain data integrity and data security in line with regulations.
