Calance seeks an experienced SQL Server DBA to administer and optimize Microsoft SQL databases across the enterprise. You will design structures, tune performance, implement HA/DR, and drive data integration and reporting improvements.

You will collaborate with business units and IT teams to deliver robust solutions, develop scripts, and ensure security and compliance in a dynamic environment.

• Provide appropriate consulting, interfacing and training for information system users.
• Collaborate with all the Business Users, Application End Users to understand the reporting requirements and develop innovative solutions to provide the necessary reports utilizing various web interfaces and programming tools.
• Import, export and back-up data between different software programs as required.
• Perform software enhancement testing prior to release for production use.
• Develop, maintain and enhance intranet software.
• Review and analyze database design and integration of systems, recommend enhancements and/or improvements.
• Develop procedures and standards relating to database management, and monitor transaction activity and
• Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Buyer.
• Tracking and resolving database related incidents and requests
• Fulfilling requests and resolving incidents within SLAs,
• Reviewing service-related reports (e.g.: database backups, maintenance, monitoring) daily to ensure servicerelated issues are identified and resolved within established SLAs
• Responding effectively to database monitoring alerts and escalations
• Collaborate with Application, Business and Database teams to come up with well-defined and strategic solutions

Microsoft SQL Server database administration and architecture

SQL Server installation, patching, and upgrades

Database performance tuning and optimization using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools

Database troubleshooting, incident resolution, and monitoring alert response

Database backups, restores, and recovery models

SQL Server high availability and disaster recovery, including Always On, clustering, and failover

Database design, structure, and systems integration

Index management, statistics, and transaction/utilization monitoring

SQL programming and operational automation using scripts

Data import, export, and transfers between software systems

Capability Years Experience Proficiency**

Reporting infrastructure and custom/ad hoc report development, including Business Objects and Power BI

.NET Framework and application development using C#, ASP, VB, or related technologies

Intranet software development, maintenance, and enhancement

Database quality control audits, data accuracy, and data dictionaries
