Job summary

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience administering Microsoft SQL Server in production.
• Strong knowledge of T-SQL, indexing, and query optimization.
• Experience with backups, DR, and security controls.
• Hands-on on-premises SQL environments; cloud migration exposure is a plus.
• Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and administer MS SQL Server across development, test, and production environments.
• Monitor performance, availability, capacity, and resource utilization.
• Design maintenance plans, index management, statistics updates.
• Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Collaborate with software development and business teams on schema changes.
• Ensure security controls, RBAC, encryption, and auditing.
• Work with IT security/compliance to meet HIPAA/PCI DSS where applicable.
• Assist with on-prem to cloud migrations, including Azure SQL services.
