Job summary

Acceleration Academies, Cincinnati, OH, is seeking a Special Education Teacher to serve as the primary instructional resource for Graduation Candidates, delivering competency‑based content and guiding students toward graduation.

You’ll collaborate with a team to provide academic, social‑emotional, and career support, maintaining IEPs and ELL accommodations while using data to inform instruction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Masters' preferred.
• 2+ years of teaching experience (high school preferred).
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a focus on inclusivity and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Support new student enrollment through recruitment and outreach efforts.
• Create Personalized Learning Plans tailored to each student’s needs and goals.
• Serve as an advisor for assigned students and monitor attendance and progress.
• Plan and deliver subject-specific instruction in both individual and group settings.
• Conduct formative and summative assessments to guide instruction.
• Utilize data to inform instructional decisions and improve outcomes.
• Understand and document IEPs and ELL accommodations; participate in meetings.
• Provide targeted remediation and enrichment as needed.
• Contribute to academy initiatives, workshops, and community events.
