Job summary

Istari Digital is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer who will be embedded inside customer teams in aerospace and defense contexts. You will write production-quality code, architect integrations, and tackle hard problems at the intersection of digital engineering workflows and mission-critical operations.

You'll work closely with Istari's product and engineering groups, delivering implementations on-site and ensuring the platform adds concrete value for customers while advancing our technology

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals; produce production-quality code.
• Hands-on experience with CAD, CFD, FEM or related simulation toolchains.
• Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
• Ability to work on-site with customers in a U.S. defense or aerospace context; clearance eligibility required; active clearance a strong plus.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Embed with customer engineering teams to understand workflows and constraints.
• Architect and build software integrations that connect CAD/CFD/FEM pipelines to Istari's platform.
• Serve as the primary technical interface for customers and proactively identify value opportunities.
• Develop and maintain integrations and workflow solutions following modern software practices.
• Translate field experience into product insights and contribute to internal reviews and roadmaps.
