Job summary

GenScript Biotech Corporation in Piscataway, New Jersey, is seeking an experienced Shipping Manager to oversee the company’s logistics strategy and operations onsite. The role focuses on maximizing efficiency, coordinating inbound and outbound transportation, and leading automation initiatives to improve throughput and cost performance.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in shipping/logistics management, strong analytical and communication skills, and a background in supply chain.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have 5+ years as Shipping/Logistics Manager with team leadership.
• Proven experience leading automation and transformation projects.
• Strong analytical and presentation skills using MS Excel, Access or Power BI.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in supply chain, logistics or related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English; Mandarin a plus.
• APICS certifications (CSCP/CLTD/CTSC) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize all aspects of transportation, inbound, outbound and internal transfers.
• Lead shipping department projects to identify bottlenecks and implement improvements.
• Ensure on-time PO scheduling and carrier dispatch for accurate order delivery.
• Develop policies to improve efficiency while maintaining quality and safety.
• Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement in operations.
• Manage operational budget and allocate resources to reduce costs.
• Build strong relationships with 3PL providers and internal stakeholders.
