Job summary

GW Modular in Houston is seeking a Production Manager to lead daily production in mechanical or electrical assembly areas, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence. You will direct Production Supervisors, coordinate with Planning, Engineering, and Quality, and drive labor productivity on the shop floor.

Responsibilities include supervising supervisors, optimizing staffing, ensuring materials readiness, and championing continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years in manufacturing or industrial assembly, including 3 years leading supervisors.
• Proven results improving safety, throughput, quality, and labor productivity.
• Experience managing daily schedules, staffing, work in process, and budgets.
• Ability to interpret fabrication drawings, BOMs, work instructions, and inspection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Execute the production schedule and convert releases into daily assignments by supervisor, crew, work order, and location.
• Lead and develop Production Supervisors; handle hiring, onboarding, attendance, training, and corrective action.
• Balance staffing and skills, control overtime, and forecast labor capacity.
• Ensure drawings, BOMs, work orders, packing lists, and tooling are ready; resolve shortages with planning/warehouse.
• Drive safety, quality, and testing readiness with Engineering and Quality; manage production through completion.
