Job summary

Colliers is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager in Washington, DC to lead commercial construction and tenant improvement projects from concept through closeout. You will oversee budgets, schedules, and coordination among clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors to deliver projects on time and on budget.

The ideal candidate has 8–10+ years of CRE project management, strong communication, and leadership abilities, with proficiency in modern PM tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Real Estate, or related field.
• 8–10+ years of construction or project management experience in commercial real estate.
• Strong knowledge of design, construction, project management, and building systems.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and leading projects from concept through completion.
• PMP, CCM, or LEED certification is a plus.
• Ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple commercial construction and tenant improvement projects from planning through completion.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders.
• Develop and manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, and overall project plans.
• Lead architects, engineers, contractors, consultants and vendors.
• Coordinate bidding, RFPs, contractor selection, permitting, construction and closeout.
• Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, change orders, invoices and payment applications.
• Conduct project and construction meetings and maintain clear project documentation.
• Monitor project progress, costs, schedule, quality and risks; identify and resolve issues before they impact the project.
• Provide regular project status updates, including budget, schedule, risks, and key milestones.
• Conduct site visits and oversee construction activities to ensure quality, safety, and compliance.
• Maintain organized project files and ensure complete project closeout.
• Build and maintain strong client and industry relationships.
• Mentor and collaborate with other project management staff and contribute to business development.
