Hines is seeking a Manager, Design and Construction for California-based senior living projects. The role is on-site in Newport Beach, acting as the Owner's representative and coordinating design, preconstruction and construction from due diligence through closeout.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in construction with strong leadership, budgeting and regulatory know-how, plus familiarity with California senior living markets and contractor coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction science, engineering, or related field.
• Five+ years in general contractor/development/construction roles, with two+ in management.
• Strong understanding of construction terminology and processes.
• Experience in senior living construction in California is preferred.
• Read and interpret detailed construction drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design, preconstruction and construction activities for senior living projects in California.
• Manage budgets, schedules, quality, and owner requirements; monitor progress.
• Lead architects, engineers, consultants and contractors; oversee change orders.
• Develop and mentor Assistant Construction Managers as needed.
• Prepare cost estimates and construction updates for ownership.
