Job summary

Raytheon in Columbia, MD seeks a Senior FPGA Engineer to design, develop, and test firmware for RF and photonic systems. This onsite role requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

The 1st shift position is 100% onsite in Columbia, MD with relocation assistance and a comprehensive benefits package. Candidates with 5+ years of FPGA experience and a STEM degree are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Typically a STEM degree and 5+ years of relevant FPGA/firmware experience.
• Experience in HDL design and FPGA development for configurable logic devices.
• Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink and HDL coding.
• Experience with FPGA timing constraints and timing closure.
• Experience with Python or C programming.

Responsibilities

• Design and code FPGAs in high-level synthesis tools for RF/photonic prototypes.
• Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
• Perform hands-on integration and troubleshooting of FPGA solutions.
• Serve as a technical resource to the organization.
• Participate in internal and external technical reviews.
• Independently drive projects to meet schedules and budgets.
• This 1st shift onsite role is based in Columbia, MD.
