Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a reliable Property Maintenance Technician to oversee maintenance, groundskeeping, and janitorial tasks for assigned self-storage properties in Idaho. You will ensure cleanliness, safety, and high service standards while assisting tenants on site.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work indoors and outdoors. You will perform unit inspections, ready spaces for rent, coordinate with third-party vendors, and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License and safe driving record.
• Basic mechanical and technology skills using smart phones, apps, and other technology.
• Strong safety awareness.
• Proven hard worker, self-starter, and positive attitude.
• High level of organizational and prioritization skills.
• Collaborative team player.
• Willingness and flexibility to meet changing requirements.
• Must be fluent in speaking and writing the English language.
• Regular and predictable attendance is required.
• Reliable transportation to travel between locations.
• Ability to work generally between 8am and 6pm, including weekends.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors with fluctuating noise levels and some hazardous exposure.
• Ability to perform physical duties including walking, standing, sitting, bending/stooping, repetitive motion, keyboarding, using hands, lifting up to 25 lbs., reaching, climbing, and crouching/stooping.
• Preferred skills: Storage Experience, Property upkeep, Maintenance, Cleaning.
• Driver License

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, appearance, and safety standards across assigned properties.
• Assist tenants or customers onsite.
• Inspect storage units, confirm inventory, and secure spaces.
• Prepare vacant units for rent and secure units.
• Maintain exterior appearance through lawn care and other tasks.
• Oversee third-party vendors for exterior services.
• Perform pest control inspections and coordinate follow-up actions.
• Conduct lock audits and property walk-throughs.
• Respond to security breaches involving unsecured units or tampering.
• Record daily arrivals for payroll purposes.
