Johnson Controls, a global leader in security and building systems, is hiring a Commercial Installer to set up and program Integrated Security fire and security systems onsite for commercial customers. The role may also dismantle and reconstruct equipment as needed.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, 6+ years electrical/electronic experience, and ability to read blueprints and operate hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical school training a plus.
• 6+ years electrical/electronic equipment experience with mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Proficient with hand and power tools and safe vehicle operation.
• Customer-focused and able to relay clear information to clients.

Responsibilities

• Install and service fire and security systems onsite for commercial customers.
• Dismantle and reconstruct equipment when required.
• Follow safety and clean-up procedures to prevent injuries and damage.
• Review schedules with customers and verify installation dates.
• Prepare estimates per supervisor instructions.
• Coordinate installations with authorities and emergency records as needed.
• Coach and mentor less experienced installers on larger projects.
