Job summary

AAPC is seeking a Scheduling Supervisor to lead our scheduling team, ensure timely, accurate patient scheduling, and support the clinical/operations group onsite.

This role blends hands-on scheduling with coaching, training, audits, and regional travel to cover the Houston area. 60%+ onsite, EMR experience required, strong communication and organizational skills are essential to success.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of patient scheduling experience.
• Experience with an EMR/EHR system.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to travel regionally and work onsite 60%+ of the time.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, support, and coach scheduling staff to meet daily goals.
• Monitor KPIs, productivity, quality, and scheduling targets.
• Review activity for trends and areas for improvement.
• Provide ongoing feedback and accountability to schedulers.
• Develop and implement processes to improve scheduling efficiency and patient engagement.
• Escalate issues and provide solutions to leadership.
• Spend 60%+ of time onsite in scheduling operations.
• Travel regionally to train and coach schedulers.
• Conduct regular onsite audits of processes and documentation.
• Maintain accurate patient information and documentation in EMR systems.
