Job summary

NexGen Contracting is seeking a Site Safety Technician for our Cartersville, GA location. The role involves enforcing safety rules, conducting safety meetings, and maintaining records to ensure compliance with OSHA and NexGen standards.

The ideal candidate will have up to five years of related experience, OSHA 30 Hour certification, and strong teamwork in a fast-paced construction environment. This position supports a broad range of self-perform services.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Hour certification is required.
• Basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and e-mail applications.

Responsibilities

• Enforce safety equipment and clothing per OSHA and site rules.
• Ensure NexGen safety requirements are followed by all team members.
• Maintain accurate safety records for the project.
• Keep work areas neat, safe, and orderly.
• Investigate incidents and file required reports.
• Assist Site Manager in addressing non-compliance with safety rules.
• Lead daily safety meetings and job-site safety reviews.
• Conduct orientation and job-site specific safety training.
• Communicate and enforce NexGen’s safety program on site.
• Other duties as assigned.
