Job summary

NexGen Contracting is seeking a Site Safety Technician for our Cartersville, GA location. You will enforce OSHA safety rules, conduct daily safety meetings, and help maintain project safety records to protect workers on site.

The ideal candidate has up to five years of related experience, OSHA 30 card, and solid computer skills. You will work with the Site Manager and trade partners to promote a safe, compliant work environment on fast-paced construction projects.

Qualifications

• Up to five years of related experience.
• OSHA 30 Hour card required.
• Must possess basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and e-mail.
• Energetic, self-motivated, team-oriented, and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Enforce safety equipment and clothing usage as required by OSHA and site rules.
• Reinforce safety compliance with NexGen standards among team members.
• Maintain accurate safety records and documentation.
• Keep work areas neat, safe, and orderly.
• Investigate incidents and complete required reports.
• Assist Site Manager with safety coaching for non-compliant workers.
• Hold daily safety meetings and site orientations.
• Communicate and enforce NexGen’s safety program on site.
