Job summary

Collins Aerospace seeks a highly experienced SAFe Solution Train Engineer (STE) to lead and coordinate Agile Release Trains on the Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) DA/ES program in St. Petersburg, FL.

This onsite role requires an active US Secret clearance and strong SAFe/Agile expertise to drive program success. You will collaborate with release managers, system architects, and product owners to align backlogs with customer needs, while mentoring teams in Lean-Agile principles and

Qualifications

Minimum of 8 years of experience in large-scale program management or leadership roles, including 3+ years in a SAFe environment.
SAFe Solution Train Engineer certification or equivalent experience.
Deep understanding of SAFe principles, roles, and responsibilities, as well as Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Rally, or equivalent platforms.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex programs with multiple dependencies, teams, and stakeholders.
Strong leadership, facilitation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus among diverse teams.
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate the execution of multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs) within the CEC DA/ES program, facilitating alignment between teams, stakeholders, and program objectives.
Drive synchronization across ARTs and ensure program increments (PIs) stay on track.
Manage the planning and execution of Program Increment (PI) events, including PI Planning, System Demos, Sprint Reviews, and Inspect and Adapt (I&A) workshops.
Identify, manage, and resolve cross-team risks, dependencies, and impediments to ensure seamless program execution.
Collaborate with Product Release Managers, Release Train Engineers, System Architects, and Product Owners to ensure the program backlog is well‑defined, prioritized, and aligned with customer needs.
Facilitate effective communication between the Solution Train, ARTs, and external stakeholders, promoting transparency and alignment.
Drive continuous improvement by implementing SAFe best practices, fostering a culture of Lean-Agile principles, and mentoring teams on Agile methodologies.
Ensure compliance with RTX processes and standards, while delivering high‑quality solutions in a timely and cost-effective manner.
