Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Controls Automation Engineer (Rockwell PLCs) in Lenexa, KS, onsite. You will join the Engineering Department supporting Manufacturing Operations and Process Engineering teams, focusing on maintaining, troubleshooting Rockwell PLCs, and ensuring reliable production.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Electrical/Controls Automation and 3-5 years of manufacturing automation experience, with hands-on Rockwell Studio 5000 and HMI/SCADA exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Electrical/Controls/Automation engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on automation engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with Rockwell PLCs and HMI/SCADA systems (FactoryTalk View, Ignition, Wonderware).

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot Rockwell Automation PLC systems (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix).
• Support HMI/SCADA systems such as FactoryTalk View and Ignition for reliable production monitoring and control.
• Manage automation projects through full lifecycle from concept to startup and handoff.
• Diagnose and resolve control system, instrumentation, and electrical issues to minimize downtime.
• Develop technical documentation and collaborate with process engineering to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
