Job summary

Manpower Group (USA) currently seeks a Controls Automation Engineer to support manufacturing operations in Lenexa, KS. The role focuses on maintaining Rockwell PLC systems, optimizing HMI/SCADA interfaces, and driving automation projects from design to handoff.

The successful candidate will have 3–5 years in automation within manufacturing, deep Rockwell expertise, and strong problem-solving and communication abilities to ensure high uptime and process efficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Controls/Automation engineering or related field.
3–5 years of hands-on automation engineering experience in manufacturing.
Strong experience with Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley PLCs and Studio 5000/RSLogix 5000.
Experience with FactoryTalk View, Ignition, Wonderware or similar HMI/SCADA systems.
Knowledge of industrial networking, instrumentation, VFDs, servo systems, MCCs, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Maintain and troubleshoot Rockwell Automation PLC systems across platforms.
Support HMI/SCADA systems to ensure reliable production monitoring.
Manage automation projects from concept through startup and handoff.
Diagnose and resolve control system and electrical issues to minimize downtime.
Develop technical documentation and collaborate with process engineers to improve safety and efficiency.
