Job summary

MANTECH seeks a Communications Specialist to join our team in Norfolk, Virginia, performing on-site installation, configuration, and maintenance of HF/VHF/UHF and SATCOM systems, with hands-on testing and troubleshooting of RF equipment.

You will work with engineers on challenging technical problems, perform field validations, and travel up to 50% CONUS/OCONUS as required. US citizenship and a Secret clearance are prerequisites.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of communications experience.
• Experience with HF/VHF/UHF installation and troubleshooting.
• Experience with RF connectors.
• Hands-on knowledge of test equipment including Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Optical analyzers, power meters, bench power supplies, multimeters, etc.
• Must possess a current Sec+ Certification.

Responsibilities

• Support team members and perform required communication equipment integration or installation of communication systems equipment, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and use of test equipment as required.
• Install, configure, integrate, troubleshoot, and manage HF, UHF, SATCOM, radio communications suites and associated network and cryptographic equipment deployed.
• Demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a cohesive team.
• Performance of preventative maintenance and troubleshooting or assessment of electronic equipment.
• Working alongside engineers to design, build and test solutions to a variety of technical problems.
• Analyzing operations and offering suggestions for improvement.
• Perform field validations of various watercraft and equipment.
• Perform work between customer sites, shore sites, and/or on ships.
• Ability to travel CONUS/OCONUS as needed up to 50%.
