Job summary

SA-TECH at NAS Oceana in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a Communications Engineering Technician IV to maintain all communications systems and related equipment. The role requires performing preventative maintenance, complex troubleshooting, and documentation of actions with Deltek.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Navy C School or equivalent training in electronic maintenance and COMSEC is preferred.
• DOD 8570 IAT Level 1 certification is required or must be obtained.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate preventative maintenance on all systems and communications equipment.
• Perform complex troubleshooting and repair equipment to component level.
• Document maintenance actions in Deltek and write/ review work instructions.
• Operate and test RF systems, use spectrum analyzers and other test gear.
• Travel up to 20% as required and ensure safety and environmental standards.
