Job summary

RTX is seeking a Repair Design Engineer (RDE) for the Aftermarket & Sustainment Engineering Military Repair Group to develop repairs for military engines. You will own multiple projects, coordinate with IPTs and end users, and mentor junior engineers while driving repair concepts from concept to approvals.

Responsibilities include creating technical repair documents, supporting production requests, managing risks, and leading vendor audits to ensure quality. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in STEM with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of Gas Turbine components, operation, design, and maintenance.
• 10% travel

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple projects: testing activities, shop floor production support, and coordinating approvals within deadlines.
• Coordinate with internal and external IPTs and end users to align requirements and priorities.
• Mentor newer engineers and provide guidance on tasks and career development.
• Create technical documents detailing engineering requirements for repairs.
• Interface with program management to secure priorities and address programmatic issues.
• Support the customer in resolving field supportability issues.
• Ensure repair tasks and shop floor requests are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Assist and lead audits of repair vendors to verify repair methods meet quality standards.
