Job summary

City of Sandy Springs is seeking a Rental Event Manager in Sandy Springs, GA. This full-time, on-site role focuses on turning client ideas into memorable events with strong coordination among clients, vendors, and City teams.

You will manage plans, timelines, budgets, and lead event and operations teams to deliver high-quality experiences for private, corporate, and community events, with evenings and weekends as required.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience in event management, performing arts, convention centers, hospitality, or related environment.
• Valid Georgia driver’s license.
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for rental clients and guide planning and execution of events.
• Turn event concepts into detailed plans, timelines, floor plans, and production requirements.
• Coordinate with internal City departments, vendors, contractors, caterers, and production teams.
• Manage contracts, estimates, invoices, settlements, budgets, and other event documentation.
• Identify opportunities to enhance events and increase revenue through venue rentals and services.
• Visit with clients to understand their vision and recommend spaces, services, and solutions.
• Oversee event setup and execution and serve as Manager on Duty for assigned events.
• Lead event and operations teams to ensure safety, professionalism, and customer service.
• Troubleshoot challenges in real time and adapt plans as needed.
• Manage multiple events and priorities with strong communication and attention to detail.
