Job summary

City of Sandy Springs seeks an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead facility-related construction projects from planning through closeout. You will represent the City and owner’s interests, coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and City staff to ensure safety, quality, schedule, and budget adherence.

The role emphasizes collaboration, problem-solving, and driving projects from concept to completion in a municipal setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field.
• Six (6) years of experience in construction program management.
• Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and project management for facility-related construction projects on behalf of the City.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and City departments.
• Assist with selection and prequalification of architects, contractors, and vendors.
• Assist with developing RFPs, RFQs, bid documents, and other procurement materials.
• Review design drawings for constructability and schedule impacts.
• Develop and monitor project budgets and schedules.
• Evaluate progress and contractor performance; identify potential issues.
