Job summary

EDF Renewables North America is seeking dedicated Renewable Energy Technicians for on-site roles in Desert Center, CA. Positions range from Technician 2 to Technician 3, with training provided and opportunities to lead maintenance activities on wind, PV and BESS assets.

Tech 2 requires 1–2 years in renewable energy, while Tech 3 asks for 2+ years. Training is 3–4 weeks in MN. On-site work, 24/7 on-call rotation, and safety-focused culture are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of schematics, multi-meter use, and electrical/mechanical components.
• Deep competency in generation theory. Advanced knowledge of electrical safety, arc flash standards, and NEC. Proficiency with advanced diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• All technicians share a commitment to safety, operational excellence, and asset integrity.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including LOTO procedures, and lead site safety assessments.
• Maintain company property and equipment safely and responsibly.
• Attend all required safety and technical training.
• Maintain the highest level of system integrity and support site budget control by seeking efficiencies.
• Technician levels 2-5 participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for system monitoring and fault identification.
