Job summary

University of Chicago Medicine in Chicago's Hyde Park campus seeks an In House Registry Staff Nurse in 10E Oncology/SCT, a 100% onsite opportunity based in the greater Chicagoland area.

As an RN, you will provide patient-centered care, participate in planning and evaluating care, support the care team, and uphold safety and professional standards during night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN accredited School of Nursing.
• ADN-nurses must enroll in a BSN program within 6–9 months and complete within 30 months; tuition reimbursement available.
• Current Illinois RN license.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes appropriate assessment skills to determine patient needs.
• Develops a plan of care for patients whose needs do not require a Case Manager.
• Assists care team and assumes charge nurse responsibilities as assigned.
• Provides support to peers and works as a team member.
• Attends continuing education programs and participates in program evaluation.

NLN-accredited School of Nursing

Associate Degree in Nursing

BSN in progress within 30 months

Current Illinois RN license

Active BLS certification (AHA)
