Job summary

UChicago Medicine Crown Point is seeking an Inpatient Registered Nurse (IP RN) for the Inpatient Unit. The role requires assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care for patients of all ages, with emphasis on teamwork and collaboration with physicians and staff to achieve high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Indiana RN license required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a hospital progressive care or intensive care unit or equivalent.
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) and ACLS required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, direct, perform and evaluate patient care in the Inpatient Unit for patients of all ages.
• Collaborate with physicians, clinical and front-office staff to ensure high-quality care and outcomes.
• Document services thoroughly in the medical record.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform testing per CLIA and facility policies.
• Maintain equipment and supplies for patient care and facility needs.
• Participate in QAPI activities and accreditation processes.
