Job summary

UChicago Medicine River East in Chicago’s Streeterville neighborhood seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Endocrinology & OBGYN teams in a 100% onsite role. Based in the greater Chicagoland area, you will collaborate with physicians and care teams to deliver graduated patient care in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities include assessment, treatment planning, medication administration, education, and documentation, with participation in multidisciplinary teams and quality improvement

Qualifications

• Must be an actively licensed Registered Nurse in Illinois.
• Minimum of one year professional nursing experience and completion of nursing training.
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Obtain consent, document health history, vital signs, and assess health status.
• Provide patient care per guidelines, standards of care, and monitor treatment progress.
• Administer prescribed medications and document patient responses.
• Educate patients and families about health status and disease management.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain patient records and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
